12 miles!

Well, I reckon I can do the 13 miles in Newcastle now. The first 3 miles were a real battle today but I managed to get through it and ran a steady pace to complete 12 miles in just under 2 hours 2 minutes.

It's pretty much the pace I'd like to be able to keep up for the real thing. With 2 more weeks of training to go until the event I think I should be able to keep that pace even though there are plenty of hills to climb on the course.

The Suunto T6 says I used nearly 3 thousand calories. I had 2 hydro actives in my camelbak and I'm just finishing of a third extra bottle to make 5 hydro actives overall. But that only makes 250 calories so I think I'd better get some lunch in me now.
