I keep getting phone calls from some company or companies trying to get me to take a new Orange contract and get a new phone. They all seem to have the same script to follow and don't seem to know anything about me other than my mobile number. The first question is either when does your contract expire or what mobile do you have. I'm getting fed up with it now as I've been called at least 30 times and no amount of asking to get removed from their list makes any difference. One agent told me that I had to speak to Orange to stop the calls. I spoke to Orange and was told that they are finding out my information by doing a credit check on me. What? Why are random people allowed to do credit checks on me. And how do they have the information to do a credit check yet don't seem to know my name? Sounds like a heap of stinky BS to me Orange. I asked if they could do something to trace the calls as they were becoming a bit of a nuisance to be told "Only if they are a nuisance" - what did I just say? So, after getting called twice this week I'm keeping a log here. around 30 calls so far that I haven't logged.
