Bad Aircon and the Elusive 5 miles

Walked into Esporta in Wandsworth tonight and thought: "ooh its cool for a change". No such look. There's notices now that the air conditioning isn't working at full strength, or something like that. When I got upstairs the wall of heat hit me and I knew today wasn't going to be a good day after all. I struggled to make even 3 miles then had to reduce to a fast walk for 5 minutes. When I tried to start running again I only made 2 minutes before I had to reduce to a walk. I then managed to run for another 5 minutes and had to walk the remainder of the 5 miles I was supposed to run today.

This is getting ridiculous now. Claire went to complain about the heat and general lack of any air con and pointed out I couldn't do my training due to the overwhelming heat. You wouldn't believe the response of "He could always train outside"! Why am I paying for a gym if I'm going to run the streets of Wandsworth? I think I will be ordering the Suunto T6 sometime soon and heading outdoors then. I'll keep the gym membership and see if I manage to do any cross training or something. If I make no use of it because of all the running I'm cancelling the membership. Shame as Bridgend Esporta seems to actually work. Although they don't provide towels.
